Biography
Through songwriting in the genre of mystic folk, Amanda creates a journey that builds a bridge between body-mind-heart and soul both in her workshops and live performances. In a performance setting Amanda shares her original music to soothe the distorted sounds of the mind’s stories into a symphony of compassion and love. In the genre of mystic folk Amanda creates a soul cleansing atmosphere illuminating the radiant glow that lives within the fire of every heart.
We are all One. No matter where we are in our individual journeys, if one of us falls we all fall. Together we rise.
Amanda also offers workshops as recovery peer advocate and also workshops open to the public in the forms of group songwriting, guided meditations and song circles. Amanda has a bacelor's degree in Applied Music and is also a returning student at SUNY Fredonia for a second baccalaureate degree in music therapy, experience working as a
CRPA-P (Certified Recover Peer Advocate - Provisional).
She is currently in search of more spaces to provide this offering for more people in recovery for mental health and substance use.

MUSICAL BACKGROUND:
Since age 12 Amanda has been writing original music, spending all of grade school from 4th through 12th grade studying piano privately and oboe privately as well as in school band and orchestra. Extra-curricular orchestral groups were Southtowns Youth Orchestra, Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra, New York State Summer of Orchestral Studies in Saratoga Springs and American Music Abroad. Amanda graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in applied music and has since been expanding her music career performing her original music and offering music-focused workshops and motivational speaking. She is currently attending SUNY Fredonia again to complete a second baccalaureate degree in Music Therapy.
All of Amanda's workshops, performances and motivational speaking are focused on self-healing and development of an elevated understanding that we are all worthy of embracing ourselves with love and nurture. To develop an intentional embodiment of compassion towards oneself and others is Amanda's passion, which she intentionally shares with others in every event she is a part of or creates.
Amanda is in the process of recording her next EP "Inspire Your Heart Fire" at the studio of Adam Elfers from Adam Elfers & the Forest People.
Amanda Bridges has performed at various festivals such as Pyro Eclipse and Pyro Music and Arts Festival, Moon Bloom Music & Wellness Retreat in Oneida, NY, Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival and Music Is Art Festival in Buffalo, NY, SOULVATION '23 Festival 2023 in Ohio, Willow Springs Fall UP Festival in IL and more. She is curating her first wellness retreat which will have holistic healing ceremonies, workshops and live music. Ripple Effect WEllness Retreat will be held the weekend of July 19-21, 2024 in Freedom, NY. Amanda has also performed at various festivals such as Lions Gate Family Gathering and Spirit Kindred Women's Gathering (Both in in Ithaca, NY), Mass N' Tha Grass (Altoona, PA) and much more!
